Tummy Tuck Video Presentation (Abdominoplasty)
Today’s Tummy Tuck Video Presentation is from my KRON 4 television show, Body Beautiful. In this video, we review who is a good candidate for a Tummy Tuck, and illustrate the discussion with Abdominoplasty Before and After Pictures. The photos are highlighted to show how tummy tucks affect the three components of abdominal wall rejuvenation: Muscle, Fat and Skin. As always, the results show actual patients from our Walnut Creek Plastic Surgery Center.
Abdominoplasty – Muscle Wall Tightening
Abdominal reshaping starts with tightening the muscles. The rectus sheath stretches with weight gain and pregnancy. Maximal stretching can lead to rectus abdominis diastasis and exacerbation of umbilical hernias. All these are repaired as part of the muscle wall tightening component of Abdominoplasty.
Abdominoplasty – Fat Removal
The second step of the Tummy Tuck is removing the excess fat. The fat that sits on the surface of the muscle rounds the lower abdomen. Removing this fat further contours and flattens the belly. The area of fat removal is highlighted in the next Tummy Tuck Before and After Pictures.
Abdominoplasty – Skin Tightening
The finishing touch of Abdominoplasty is tightening the skin. Once the muscle is tight and the excess fat is removed, the skin is drawn taught, to show the tightening of the abdominal wall.
The Result of Tummy Tuck
The final result is shown below. Now that you know the three components of Abdominoplasty, you can see the changes without the highlights.
Tummy Tuck Consultations
Abdominoplasty is one of the most satisfying procedures I perform. The results of tightening the abdominal muscles, removing excess fat and excision of loose skin speak for themselves.
