The Aesthetic Society has released the 2019 Plastic Surgery Statistics. Every year the society, also known as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery or ASAPS, adds up the procedures performed by its members and releases them to the public. Last year’s numbers are impressive.

The Top 5 Cosmetic Surgical Procedures
The top five cosmetic surgeries for women in 2019 were:
- Breast Augmentation (280,692 procedures)
- Liposuction (270,670 procedures)
- Breast Lift (146,711 procedures)
- Tummy Tuck (140,381 procedures)
- Eyelid Surgery (113,229 procedures)
The top five surgical procedures for men in 2019 were:
- Liposuction (32,827 procedures)
- Breast Reduction (Treatment of Gynecomastia) (21,407 procedures)
- Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) (18,751 procedures)
- Tummy Tuck (5,831 procedures)
- Nose Surgery (5,037 procedures)

The top five non-surgical procedures for 2019 were:
- Botulinum Toxin (1,712,994 procedures)
- Hyaluronic Acid (749,409 procedures)
- Hair Removal (180,332 procedures)
- Nonsurgical Fat Reduction (129,686 procedures)

The age groups receiving plastic surgery in order of frequency are:
- 35-50 (588,531 procedures 40%)
- 51-64 (421.668 procedures 28.7%)
- 18-34 (296,868 procedures 20.2%)
- over 65 (149,229 procedures 10.2%)
- under 18 (13.386 procedures 0.9%)
The age groups receiving non-surgical procedures in order of frequency are:
- 35-50 (1,159,424 procedures 37.1%)
- 51-64 (1,023,494 procedures 32.8%)
- 18-34 (472,271 procedures 15.1%)
- over 65 (445,343 procedures 14.3%)
- under 18 (20,907 procedures 0.7%)
