Lipo 360 has been the Liposuction buzz word for the last year. What is it? Where does it work? Who is a good Candidate? Today’s San Francisco Plastic Surgery Blog post answers these questions and more.
Lipo 360
Liposuction is an outpatient cosmetic plastic surgery that removes disproportionate fat. The procedure involves injecting tumescent fluid to numb the area and reduce bruising. Excess fat suctioned out. When Liposuction is performed all the way around the trunk or thigh, it is called Lipo 360.
In the patient above, Liposculpture is used to reduce fat around the trunk. As a result, the abdomen, love handles and muffin top is reduced in one procedure.
Circumferential Liposuction
Below is another example of Lipo 360 of the trunk. The fullness of the lower belly and back aligned with her waistline. Before surgery, the fat bulges above her pants as an unwelcome muffin top. Even in a dress, the disproportionate fat was annoyingly visible.
After Lipo, her abdomen is flatter and her back smoother. The result was a better appearance both in and out of clothing. This patient is close to her ideal weight, but the disproportionate nature of the fat distorted her otherwise aesthetic curves. Both factors make her a good candidate for Liposuction.
Back Liposuction
Liposuction of the back can be a challenge. Liposuction only removes fat and can’t thin the skin. The thickness of back skin sometimes makes it feel like there is even more fat present.
Deposits of excess fat are removed via small incisions with a thin suction cannula. As a result, the bra rolls are improved. Additionally, the waist and hips are contoured. The results are seen in the after picture above.
Liposuction Consultations
When considering Liposuction, choose an experienced plastic surgeon. The process begins with a private, in person consultation appointment. For Liposuction Consultations in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, call (925) 943-6353 to schedule your appointment.
Liposuction truly is art combined with science. Choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with an eye for aesthetics and the experience to back it up. It is the technician, not the technique that determines your outcome.
