A few weeks back, I announced the release of the Aesthetic Society’s Beyond the Before and After. This week, a reception was held at the annual Aesthetic Society meeting in San Diego.
It was impressive seeing the larger than life sized pictures of my patient featured in the center of the San Diego Convention Center’s Exhibit Hall.
Beyond the Before and After Reception
The Aesthetic Society featured Beyond the Before and After in its own theater and continuous broadcast during the annual meeting. I talked about my part in my patient’s transformation, and also shared his positive experience with other plastic surgeons in attendance.
In Person at Last
Three of the four Plastic Surgeons participating in the Aesthetic Society’s Docu-Series, Beyond the Before and After were in attendance at the annual Aesthetic Meeting. This year the meeting was held in sunny San Diego, and for the first time in three years, I was able to attend in-person.
Proud to Represent
I am proud to represent The Aesthetic Society in the Beyond the Before and After docu-series. It was a privilege to have my patient selected from the pool of worthy patents submitted by their equally worthy plastic surgeons. It was a great experience, and one of the highlights of last year.
If you read my post from last week featuring the Aesthetic Society’s 2021 Surgical Statistics, then you know that 95% of plastic surgery patients are women. I was happy to represent the male minority with my man Colby.
Colby’s Story
Colby lost over 100 lbs before we met, but was still unsatisfied with the appearance of his body. Despite countless hours in the gym, he retained loose skin on his lower abdomen and had a saggy chest. He underwent a Mini Tummy Tuck with Liposuction and Male Breast Reduction with excision of the excess chest skin and relocation of his nipples. This is not the usual Gynecomastia Reduction. Not only was the residual breast tissue removed, but along with it all the loose overlying skin. In Colby’s case the loose skin included his nipples, which were saved and relocated as skin grafts back onto the chest. His results can be seen in the Daddy Makeover post.
