It is an honor and a blessing to be a plastic surgeon. I get to practice medicine, one of the most challenging and stimulating professions. It never gets boring, and there is a constant barrage of new technology. Some of it is good, most of it is garbage, so when you find a technique or a tool that helps to make patients feel better about themselves, it’s a great feeling. It is also nice being a doctor that rarely has to relay bad news. Even when a woman comes to me with breast cancer, I get to help restore self-confidence by replacing what is lost during the treatment process. The most rewarding part of being a Plastic Surgeon, by far, is happy patients. It’s the reason I continue to do what I’ve done for 25+ years!
Happy at Play
My patient recently sent me this picture of herself on the beach. It’s a great photo, and she is feeling great about it. Helping people feel comfortable in their skin is the name of the game.
Thank you to my patient for letting me share her bliss. I am happy that you enjoyed your vacation and well-deserved beach body. I hope you used a good sunscreen and reapplied it throughout the day. I had to add that last line; it’s my job.
Happy at Work
Plastic Surgery takes teamwork. I cannot do this alone. It takes coordinated collaboration between surgeon and patient to achieve great results as evidenced in the case below. The next patient is a man who has worked very hard to get to his fighting weight, down from his maximum weight of 362 pounds.
After a Male Breast Reduction and Mini Tummy Tuck the remaining areas of skin laxity were removed. The body you see, however, is all his. He has continued to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and through a combination of diet and exercise, he has become a beast.
Plastic Surgery Consultations
A healthy lifestyle is a prerequisite to attain the best results. If you are looking to improve your appearance beyond what diet and exercise can achieve, call (925) 943-6353 and schedule a private consultation to see if plastic surgery is an option for you.
